don’t you just remember that sherlock and john slow dancing in 221b is canon, all by themselves, with john’s hand on sherlock’s waist and their fingers tightly locked together, looking at each other and smiling because it feels so good, it feels right, and you feel like crying

and maybe it was a bit awkward at first with sherlock and john tripping over their own feet and sherlock blushing and looking down at the floor but john would whisper ”it’s alright” and smile at him and after a few minutes they were both accustomed to the feeling, moving closer and closer to each other and then there were the moments when they would glance at each other’s lips, thinking ”what if…” but none of them dared to close the small distance because ”he doesn’t love me like that”
